Why did Hamas stupidly attack Israel knowing that they can't win?
TL:DR - Besides Hamas’s hatred and its worship of death, the wider reasoning for the timing and magnitude of the [October 7th massacre] event can be found in the Cold War saga that’s warming up right in front of our eyes. Looking at the big picture - it is once again the usual suspects: money and power.
[Clarification: All of this is my personal speculations. Everything is known and published on the web, I just connected a few points.]
Anyone who thinks the reason for the attack was only Hamas’s great hatred and [demand to] release prisoners, doesn’t see the full picture. And I’m not only talking about on the local level, I’m talking about the real big picture…
According to foreign press reports, about 500 armed militants [terrorists] from Hamas and the Islamic Jihad participated in training exercises in September, led by officers from the Quds Force - [one of five branches of] Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) specializing in unconventional warfare and military intelligence operations, primarily responsible for extraterritorial and clandestine military operations. General Esmail Qaani, the commander of the Quds Force participated in the exercise himself. Intelligence sources from around the world claim that Iran initiated the [October 7th massacre] attack.
The Wall Street Journal quoting senior Hamas and Hezbollah officials, reports the decision was struck at a meeting in Beirut on Oct. 2nd, in the presence of their leaders. An advisor to the Syrian government and a European official provided the same report regarding Iran’s involvement.
So it’s Iran? The gut also feels it’s Iran. But why would it?
Well, despite their monstrous hatred and their desire to murder us, the Iranian leadership is usually very calculated. Even when they choose to apply force directly, they do it strategically. Of course they knew that after such an exaggerated event, Israel will lose its temper, will hunt down Hamas senior officers and will strive to crush it. So what were the Shi’ite leaders thinking? Why would they bring such a disaster upon Gaza?
The answer: Because perhaps that’s exactly what they wanted. A disaster in Gaza.
Whoever feels the answer “because they’re insane” isn’t satisfactory, should go look for the money. Yes, that again. The money.
It is always power and it is always money. Except in this case it is much much bigger. No, it’s not the millions [of dollars] Qatar transferred to Hamas, not even the money America pays the countries in the region. Beyond that. Far far beyond that - this time, it is the greatest money war we’ve ever known.
Welcome to the late days of the Cold War.
We’ll climb up to the big money: it was and remains in energy. Oil and gas. Russia announced yesterday [Friday Oct. 26] that Hamas is not a terrorist organization. Isn’t it strange? Why would Russia claim such a thing? Russia, the one greatly suffering from terrorism? Why would it fan the flame against us? In fact, why would Russia be concerned with the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians?
Now, I can’t assert that Russia did it to us. But there’s one thing I’m certain of, and you’ll soon realize how much of it is simple math: the greatest earner from this war - could be Russia. And with it China and Iran.
The largest energy-transfer project in the world is owned by the Russian government. It is the most well-funded project in global energy ever - it’s Putin’s baby, built over the last two decades. Russia built an insane pipe-system from its territory to half the world, and also to Europe. Yes, to the West, and with their cooperation. It is a pipe-system that on the surface seems imaginary. In just a few short years, Russia reached a mighty level of control over the energy of Europe, this achievement seems at times unfathomable.
Up until the war in Ukraine, Russia sold about 50% (!) of all of Europe’s gas, and was the main supplier. This figure is hallucinatory on all accounts, it dropped down to 20% after the sanctions that followed the war in Ukraine, and is now even less than that. It should be clarified, in Europe gas is not just electricity and stoves, gas is a survival resource with which homes are heated in the frozen days of snow, with which hot water runs in the faucet. Gas is life.
Until recently, Russia controlled the energy market of the West by controlling the tap of oil and gas. And together with China they penetrated the Gulf energy market. Since the war in Ukraine, this situation began to change.
The one who benefits much from this collaboration with Russia and China is Iran. You’re familiar with Iran. Only last July, Iran signed a gas agreement with Russia worth $40 billion, which is in addition to a lot of business those two countries share and that Iran and China share. Iran sits on the second largest [natural] gas reserves in the world, following Russia, and it needs to sell it to someone. So with the help of Putin’s infrastructure, creating a sort of bypass, Iran sells gas to…the West. Unimaginable, right? There are sanctions against Iran?…Not when you have Russia..
Last year alone, Russia’s pocketed an astronomical sum of $138 billion, only from gas exports, and another $218 billion from oil exports, and all of this despite the sanctions it is under, following the war in Ukraine.
Russia made a lot of money off of Europe.
Putin’s pipeline is not another financial project - it is a colonial infrastructure project of power and force. This pipeline turned Russia into a semi-monopoly. Putin built it with the brilliance of a well-seasoned chess player, the most brilliant thing a superpower could think of. He became the largest gas supplier of fucking Europe. He is also the primary gas supplier for the rest of the world.
This project was built at record speed over the last 20 years, the “northern stream” part of the pipeline was built in a year and half and in cooperation with the European countries, and who knows what they were thinking to themselves. Just in 2020 he built together with Turkey the “TurkStream”, which transfers gas from Russia to Europe, another puzzle of pipes.
All of this happened while America was busy in its Gulf wars, in Afghanistan and Iraq, Libya and Syria, in the post 9/11 period. It could be said America fell asleep on its guard, and Putin took Europe, and together with China, they are taking the East and the Gulf. We must admit, Putin is a genius, while the West played chess offensively, he played chess strategically.
Except the war in Ukraine shuffled all of the cards.
America and West woke up late to this game of monopoly (they’re always late to wake up), and looked for a way to regain the control they lost. The West’s fear was that Russia and China will use this power against it.
This fear was confirmed by the war in Ukraine, when Russia closed the tap to the West, as an ultimatum for the West supporting Ukraine. Additionally, one of the pipelines (NordStream) leading from Russia to Germany suffered a curious terrorist attack. And then the “friendship” became less friendly, when gas prices soared across Europe, so much - that some families lived in the cold, because they preferred that over buying expensive gas. Oil and gas jumped 700%. Europe entered existential dread and weaker countries found themselves on the brink of a crisis.
America and the West realized they must respond to this situation. It can’t possibly be that in every conflict between West and East - Putin will now close the tap under the claim of “maintenance work”. So they began thinning Russia’s involvement as Europe’s energy supplier. They lowered Putin from 50% to the level of below 20% and this year even 13%. They shut down his plan for a new pipeline (Nord 2) and started importing more gas from The US and proceeded towards clean gas, which doesn’t flow through Putin’s pipes.
Additionally, America was already advancing toward another creative solution, a very large one. If Putin is reaching Europe from the north - we will be wiser and bypass him from the south.
A very friendly name was given to this super-ambitious financial project by America: The Abraham Accords. Heard of it?
It is both a great and welcomed peace, of course, it is a huge financial corridor, but it is also lots of oil and gas. The vision is to create a territorial sequence of normalized relations that starts in India, through the Emirates, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Israel (you know Israel) and from here to Greece, Cyprus, Europe. If Russia comes from the north through the Baltic Black Sea - America wants to crush it from the south, by having control over the Mediterranean Sea.
If you will, it is the formation of two clear fronts: the Russo-Iranian-Chinese front, versus the Western-Sunni-Israeli front. Game of Thrones - behind you.
See the graph attached. Above is Russia’s insane pipe-system, and below is the peace corridor, as presented by Netanyahu himself in his celebratory speech (attached as a video) on Sept. 9th of this year, a month before the attack on the Otef [the Israeli territory that envelopes the border with Gaza].
There was one piece of the puzzle left - Saudi Arabia and Israel have no diplomatic relations. It’s a rather hefty piece.
No big deal. Saudi Arabia itself is looking for a solution to export gas from the region and is under threat from the Shi’ites in Yemen (who also burned Saudi oil fields), and is threatened by Iran’s nuclear power, and its Shi’ite enemy becoming close with Russia and China. Sunni Saudi Arabia needs to pick a side, and right now the winning side is the West.
So we’ll make “peace”. Easy. Win win - Sunni Saudi Arabia will sell oil and gas to the West, in addition to America’s friends in the Gulf who have major reserves. Goods will come from India and bypass China. Saudi Arabia will also compete with Shi’ite Iran, its despised nemesis, and it will gain a military alliance with America and Israel. In fact, America came with a strategy that circumvents Russia-China-Iran - a pathway for goods, weapons, and energy from its Sunni Arab friends in the southern part of the Gulf, via the Mediterranean, that will compete with Russia and the Shi’ites in the north. Saudi Arabia also deludes itself that The US will allow it to develop atomic energy, I doubt anyone would dare. But who knows.
And so, during the summer this whole move was accelerated when Biden and Netanyahu began talking about a historical peace with Saudi Arabia. And then, on Sept. 9th, as part of the G20 Summit, Biden announced an unbelievable mega-plan of his own: “The Peace Rail”. Stugudush!
Not just a rail, not just a peace - he called it a big deal “game changing regional investment”.
It is an advanced high-speed rail that will carry goods between the countries of the peace corridor of the Abraham Accords, from India to Europe. A great vision unto itself. But this rail, with all its peace and such, hides another purpose underneath its rail and its humanistic vision - you get it…a gas pipeline. The rail will carry oil, weapons and goods. The pipeline will carry advanced clean gas. Control of Europe goes back to Western hands.
You’re welcome to watch the video attached from ILTV Channel from Sept. 9th of this year and mark the words of Ursula von der Leyen, the President of the European Commission, who clearly states the words “a clean gas pipeline”. She pays attention not to stress it too much, but everyone knows what she’s talking about. It should be clarified that “clean gas” means hydrogen gas, which is environmentally friendlier and more efficient for usage, and that is missing from Russia’s pipes. In simple terms an upgraded pipeline that will turn Putin’s obsolete and the reliance on Russia unnecessary.
Biden will have the bigger pipe.
Putinis handed one punch on top of another. Not only was he not able to conquer his heart’s desire - Ukraine, he is also excluded from supplying energy to Europe, who tells him “thanks for what we had, but enough for now”.
And this rail-pipeline from India also connects to the pipeline Netanyahu agreed upon with the leaders of Greece and Cyprus in January of 2020. The EastMed pipeline which will be the largest in the world between Israel and Greece, and from there to Italy.
And Saudi Arabia? It desperately needs this new pipeline, to screw over its despised adversary Iran and bypass the Russo-Chinese monopoly, of goods too, over Europe. So much, that in the G20 Summit the Saudi Crown Prince announced that his country will invest about $20 billion in the project - even before a peace accord was signed with Israel. Meaning, from its end, peace is a done deal. What could come in its way?
America threatened Putin and China’s queen directly, pulling its ear.
It is clear to all that this plump financial corridor with such a rail-pipeline is disastrous for Russia and China. And if it’s disastrous from them, it is also disastrous for Iran, because it strengthens its hated Sunnis from the south, and connects them to its hated Zionist nemesis from the west.
For Iran, a treaty between Sunni Saudi Arabia and Israel is an unimaginable catastrophe. It connects Saudi Arabia to the military power of Israel and connects Israel to the financial power of Saudi Arabia. And it positions Saudi Arabia and Israel as central players in the global energy market. It is casus belli.
For Saudi Arabia, Iran is Shi’ite and despised, and it is on the brink of being nuclear.
So how do you sabotage the new front?
Easy: by murdering peace.
Where? Gaza.
A few days later, Hamas terrorists were already training in Iran, and 3 weeks following the announcement, a meeting took place between Hezbollah and Hamas and the peace-thwarting action was on its way. All of this is happening in Sept, the Jewish High Holidays. And I’m not that religious, but it’s interesting how quite a few of our national catastrophes happened on the High Holidays.
On Oct. 3rd, four days before the massacre, Khamenei [the Supreme Leader of Iran] was quoted criticizing Saudi Arabia for the peace plan, and concludes his words with a decisive line: it won’t happen. Iran marked a clear target over the deal between Saudi Arabia and Israel, and it is determined to go all the way.
Iran chose Hamas, and not purposelessly. Hamas are Sunnis, like Saudi Arabia and they are beloved by the Saudi public. We think it is all about a war of independence from some occupation or a deep religious agenda, but in the end, it’s a lot of money, and mostly power. What is it about this power, that’s so addictive?
For Hamas, to ram Israel is a decree - to release prisoners, to provide a sense of victory for the blood-thirsty Palestinian people. But for Iran? Also. Clearly. Blood. But they don’t really care about this small Sunni [terrorist] organization that took over Gaza. Moreso, Shi’ites hate Sunnis so much that some say that Jews are even less hated by them than Sunnis. It is a DNA-level animosity. A hatred described in a famous quote: out of all of allah’s creations the dog is the most impure, but a Sunni Arab is even worse than a dog.
If all it wants is blood and war, then Iran could have chosen Hezbollah to ignite the war, and perhaps it would have had greater success. But Hezbollah is the real child of Iran, a religious Shi’ite [terrorist] organization, which it is accountable to protect. On the other hand, Hamas - the Sunni “dog”’, Arab “riff-raff”, it can be sacrificed on the altar of the great deal. Mohammed Deif is violent and insane enough that he will go with any murder of Jews and humiliation of Israel. And he went with the flow like the gas in Russia and China’s pipes before the embargo.
But in order to sabotage such an important peace agreement, it’s not enough to plan a small terrorist attack at Dizzengoff that will result in another Pillar of Defense [operation], from which the peace and Biden’s rail can be rehabilitated. Something fundamental is needed, big, that will echo throughout the Arab world, so that Saudi Arabia could no longer contemplate such peace. Something that will hold for years. Something that will make Israel lose its temper, that Israel will be so furious, that even Biden won’t be able to stop it. An unforgettable mega-terrorist attack is needed, a 9/11 is needed. War.
And so, the despicable thing that happened at the Otef [the border with Gaza], was put into motion. Not in the name of the Shi’ite war on the “Zionist Occupier”, but in the name of money. Not a Gaza war, a Gas war.
But surprise!
Saudi Arabia isn’t quick to cancel the peace. Because up until the point Saudi Arabia announces that the peace off the table - the objective hasn’t been achieved.
Notice how the Saudis are pretty mum. Their brothers in Gaza are being pounded, and they hold back, trying to keep some door for peace with Israel and for the mighty project that’s so important to them. It is likely we’ll see attempts by Russia, China and Iran to escalate the war, to make it last longer, with all sorts of games in the form of a trickling return of the hostages and a well-funded organized global protest movement, until it touches Saudi Arabia.
Personally, I hope that Saudi Arabia and Israel will be clever enough and strong enough, not to fall for this trap. This peace is a monumental jumping board for Israel, even if it’s clear to us it will bring with it all sorts of trouble.
A few anecdotes:
The psychotic madness of Hamas and the accompanying Gazans have no connection to the bigger picture. They are murderous wretcheds who have given reign to the devil within them to freely murder and rape us, and they should be exterminated. All the way. A total pounding.
With that, it’s important to understand the bigger picture. Because from the moment Israel entered the arena of the global energy war and has become an integral player - it’s a whole new story. We are now an important player in the Cold War.
Israel is not just a main intersection between tectonic plates and three continents. It is also a main intersection of gigantic superpowers. And this will only intensify as the peace will strengthen and the rail-pipeline will be on its way. And I hope that eventually it will be on its way.
At least for now, Hezbollah is not in a hurry to enter the war. Its interest is for the war with Hamas to intensify and that the attention of the Sunni world, most of it in Saudi Arabia, will be directed mainly on the pounding of Sunnis. Hezbollah fires anti-tank guided missiles here and there but it’s lip service, nothing more. There’s a limit to how much they are willing to sacrifice for the sake of the Sunni Arab Hamas. Although if they feel they have a good chance to succeed, or feel a great threat aimed at them, by the The US for instance, they could enter the fight out of the simple calculation that now that Israel is entangled in Gaze, it’s an advantage. We’ll know soon enough.
The Houthis from Yemen are flexing their muscles from the south. We’re talking about a Shi’ite terrorist organization that lives on Schug. A sort of Hezbolla from Ali Express. But they’re crazy, they’ve been making trouble for Saudi Arabia for years and also blew up their oil fields, until Saudi Arabia itself initiated a ceasefire. They are Iran’s “Ars” [“pimp” bully] child who hits before thinking. What’s incredible is that according to foreign reports, Saudi Arabia intercepted a few missiles the Houthis sent toward Israel and even lost fours of its soldiers on the way. Their leader announced he’s throwing the peace on the fire. It might be that their ceasefire with Saudi Arabia is under threat. We’ll know soon enough.
To the Houthis - I’d lightly imply: you’re only Houthis, we have an entire textile plant in Dimona….
Russia went publicly against Israel. So has China. Clearly their interest at the moment is for Israel to be seen as a vicious entity - to distance as much as possible the peace treaty with Saudi Arabia. Russia and China are the main earners from the crisis. Unequivocally. It entangles America here and distances the West from Ukraine.
The Emirates, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia are pretty much silent. Everyone understands the rail-pipeline project could crash, but - keeping the hope within for its resuscitation. Hopefully they won’t lose their senses, and protect this important peace.
America has shown up here like never before. [Sending] The U.S.S. Gerald R. Ford aircraft carrier to Israel and another one to the Gulf. Biden sits on the Israeli Cabinet. What?! Why? What’s changed this night of all other nights? After all it is once again Israel versus a terrorist organization. What major interest does it need to protect this time? Is there a rail-pipeline under threat? Understand, it is the biggest project that stands between The US, Russia and China. In terms of the Cold War - it is much more than Cuban missiles.
All of Europe supports Israel, without hesitating. The world is divided into West versus East. Everyone realizes what’s happening here - it’s just us telling ourselves it’s Israel versus the Palestinians and nothing more. Europe would be thrilled to escape the choking hands of the Russo-Chinese front.
If you hadn’t realized what Russia wanted from Ukraine yet, now you know more. Their oil and gas, and mostly their territory - where an integral part of the old Russian pipeline passes. There too, the story is allegedly terrorism.
It’s very likely the major clash between Saudi Arabia and Iran is still to come. What’s certain is that as long as Biden’s peace project is alive, we’ll see more and more attempts from Russia and Iran to sabotage it. Even when the construction of the rail-pipeline will commence, it could suffer terrorist attacks along its route. Therefore it’s going to be a long story ahead of us - it has only just begun.
The Abraham Accords are presented as some incredible accomplishments of the "renowned statesman" Netanyahu. Come on, it is a huge financial project belonging to America - [The US] initiated it, sewed it, all for a pathway to bypass Russia-China, we’re just another piece of the puzzle of the Cold War. It’s only sad that the victims had to pay for the whims of the superpowers.
It seems no one really cares for the Palestinian people and their sadistic terrorist organizations. They are just another instrument in the Cold War toolbox.
Having said that, it’s clear to me that if Iran feels, that it could conquer Israel, or parts of it, it will attempt to do so. It is already an ancient messianic religious dream [of theirs] beyond any other rationale. Hezbollah will be the executor, and it’s possible there will be greater powers that could help it. Fortunately, it is an impossible dream.
That’s it, long, right?
Are you beginning to understand the big story?
In the end, it’s who’s got a bigger pipe.
