Nas Daily shares his personal journey of struggling with his Palestinian-Israeli identity. As a Palestinian born in Israel, he initially identified as "Palestinian-Israeli" to reflect his dual heritage. But after recent violent events, he realized Israel is the only place he feels truly safe and calls home.
Though he still loves Palestine and wants it to exist as an independent state, Nas comes to the conclusion that Israel is where his family lives and where he wants to build his future.
He decides to start identifying as "Israeli-Palestinian" - putting his Israeli identity first. Nas says it took these shocking events for him to gain real clarity on where he belongs. His story shows the nuance and complexity of national identity for many living in the region.
